the lowdown

Our client is an Andalusian non-profit who provides social services, among others, and are experts in monitoring activities, providing urgent and specialized attention. They have created software that requires the development of a mobile app and contacted us to help them with the design and development.

the challenge

For this project it was important to resolve the connections with client services. The application must be able to connect to the client backend, but also work with a wearable that monitored subjects carry with them.

the solution

The design team carried out prior user research to gain a good understanding of the situation and the needs of the target user. After this step, a navigational map was drafted to confirm that the flow was correct and that the information architecture was well-organized, meaningful, and in such a way as to allow the user to intuitively find all of the functionalities.

Native elements recommended by the Android and iOS guidelines were used, facilitating the development work at a later stage.

Wigo is a multitarget application, which is something that needed to be considered when it came to the app’s visual design. Therefore, the design contains neutral colours that combine with changes in the primary colour and logos of the different clients.

The objective of the app is the tracking and safety of the people being monitored. The development of the apps makes it possible to show where the subject is at all times and to find out if they leave their security areas or approach the previously defined dangerous areas. It is therefore ideal for children, elderly people, or people who are dependent due to a disability or other reason.
