Airgrup is a company founded in Seville that has spent more than 75 years in the industrial sector and more than 45 in the areas of defense and aerospace.

They manufacture products that support their clients’ activities and where quality and excellence are fundamental.
In this context, and to improve the processes of their factory, they are considering the development of some mobile solutions to help their work.

the challenge

Before developing an application that manages processes, we like to have a good understanding of the objectives in addition to how current work can be transformed to make it more efficient. The challenge in this case resided in digitalizing the processes of a company in which invoicing is carried out per minute.

the solution

In this type of project, design is more important than it seems. Efforts must focus not only on the visual aspect, but also on usability, studying the user who is going to use the device. In this case it was especially important to resolve it in such a way as to ensure that the worker could use the apps easily as they carried out their tasks at the factory. It is a good example of how, when digitalizing processes, it is important to emphasize the user and their situation when using the app.

When it comes to the UI, it is a very simple design with native components belonging to the Material style guides for Android. The three applications developed boast very intuitive and simple interfaces in order to not distract the user from their task.

These apps were developed to cut down on paper and allow workers to use it quickly, making it essential for development to create apps with code that would be easily maintainable. The client was satisfied by the way that the development phase was organized and structured. An agile approach allowed us to make modifications over the course of the project, adapting development and reacting well to the changes proposed.
